Deciding on an accountant was one of the most difficult decisions I have made as a professional. I had been working with an old family friend and had invited several different firms before I met David and his team. Initially, I was impressed with his straightforwardness and knowledge. Not only was he able to talk credibly about the dental industry, but also give me advice on running the day to day operations of my practice. David was head and shoulders above any other firm I had interviewed. Thus we began our work together growing my practice.
Over the past decade I have been continually impressed by his effectiveness, insight, and service. Colleagues that I have referred were not only impressed with his firm, but astounded by the difference between their previous accountants and DCY. David and his team respond to questions and inquiries on the client's situation. One does not receive prefabricated answers. My referrals to David are so impressed they make me look good.
I never make a major financial decision without David's input. During our transition from our old office to our new space he helped us tender contracts, negotiate our lease, and finance the move. There is no other firm that could have helped us to that extent. His database of dentists allows him to give advice based on the experience of hundreds of other practices. He is not comparing us to lawyers or mechanics but to the real numbers of other doctors in the same situation.
I know what other dentists think of their accountants. I know they think of them as a necessary evil. This is not what David's clients think. They see him as a real partner in their practice, as an asset and advisor. I recommend David to every dentist I meet, and the wise take my advice.
