I am honoured to write this letter of recommendation for David Chong Yen.  After graduating from dental school in 2000, I associated briefly.  I was ready to buy a practice, and needed an accountant. Upon meeting with David, I immediately signed up with him. He knew the process inside-out, and helped structure a win-win situation for myself and the vendor. What I remember and appreciate most is that he took the time to explain everything to me, so that I knew exactly what I was getting into.

It has been over 8 years since I first started working with David. A lot has happened since then. I established the “toothworks” brand with the purchase of my first practice, built another practice from scratch, bough another older practice, and, most recently, incorporated a smaller practice into my own.

Also, I have established a technical services corporation, a family trust, and a professional corporation with David’s help. Over the years, David has gone from being my accountant to being one of my most trusted advisors and my friend.

If you are associating, considering buying a practice, or doing some of the other things I have mentioned above, it would be worth your while to meet with David. I know of too many people in dentistry who end up using a friend or family member to do their accounting. Most of them would be much further ahead today if they had chosen David Chong Yen.
